eBay's aarchie enjoys
a perfect 100% positive feedback |
| Frequently Asked Questions:
1. What is an eBay Trading Assistant? Trading Assistant (TA) is the designation which eBay awards to Sellers meeting very specific quality and quantity standards. Trading Assistants are not employees of eBay nor do they work as an eBay franchisee. Trading Assistants earn the designation based upon volume selling and consistently high levels of positive feedback from Buyers who have purchased products auctioned. "aarchie" is proud to be in the top of eBay's Quality ranks for positve customer feedback. A Trading Assistant helps others sell their goods in the online auction format, and TAs charge a fee for conducting the auction (basically a % of the total Selling price is charged for consignment of items which are sold through the TA). You can trust the Seller with TA credentials. 2. Why should I use your listing service? Let's say you have an item that you wouldn't mind parting with if you could get a good price for it. Unfortunately, in our small community about all you can do is take out a classified ad in the Silver City Press or Sun News, Thrifty Nickel or Desert Exposure, hold a garage sale, or post an ad at the Co-Op or at one of the grocery stores. Many of the potential customers for your item do not live in our community. That means you may not get the necessary "action" necessary to get top dollar for your prized collection or family heirloom. So why not increase your market exposure to the 100+ million registered eBay shoppers worldwide? Chances are there will be many more potential buyers out there who will appreciate the value of your goods.. 3. How do I get started? If you have an item that you wish to list with us, you may call for details or you can fill out the Listing Form. If you have a computer with a connection to the Internet, you may fill out the form online. After submitting the form, we will contact you and make arrangements to photograph the item(s) for the ad and submit them, along with your Listing Form, to the ad copy department. We will create the ad, submit it to eBay, and then notify you when it sells. 4. How can I tell if anyone is bidding on my item? Once the item is posted on eBay, you may monitor any bidding activity by clicking on the eBay item # that we will provide to you after submittal through eBay. 5. What kinds of items are not recommended for listing with "aarchie's Online Auctions" ? Items that are large or heavy and are readily available anywhere, are not really suitable for listing on eBay. For example, refrigerators or other appliances, furniture (unless they are valuable antiques), automobiles (unless they are collectibles). The freight or packaging costs for these items would not make it attractive to buyers out of the area. Guns and hazardous materials are items which are not suitable for selling in this venue. Items which are classified as oversize, exceed UPS and USPS maximum dimensions, are generally not suitable for this selling format (If you have any questions , please ask).. 6. When and where can I bring my item to be photographed and can you store it for me? Small items and items of limited value (generally less than $1000) may be stored in our location. Larger items are photographed, listed, and stored at your location. When the item sells, we will then notify you to bring the item in for packaging. 7. I have a very heavy antique piano, can you sell and ship something like that? Yes we can. If it is not practical to bring the items to us, you may call us after filling out the Listing Form, and we will photograph the item at your location at a convenient time. When it sells, the Buyer (with our assistance) will arrange for pickup of your item by a trucking service. 8. We are a local non profit organization, school, or church trying to have a fundraiser. Can your service help us? Yes. All or part of the proceeds of any items that you list and sell with us, can be donated to a non-profit group of your choosing. You may specify the name of the organization and the amount you wish to donate on the Listing Form and we will issue a check in the appropriate school or organization name, from the net proceeds.
